Daily Sudoku
The daily sudoku gives four new puzzles every day: easy, medium, hard and expert. Everyone in the world gets the same four on the same date, counted in UTC time. Print all four on one page with answers, download a PDF, or play on screen. The 30 previous days stay available too.

How the daily puzzles are chosen
There is no server and no database behind the daily sudoku. The date and the level are turned into a puzzle number, and the generator builds that puzzle in your browser. Because the same date always gives the same number, everyone sees the same puzzles that day and can compare answers.
The day changes at midnight UTC. In Europe that is in the early morning (01:00 or 02:00 in Central Europe), and in the United States it is the evening before. Use the date list to pick an earlier day if you missed one.
A daily habit
Many people like one puzzle with their morning coffee. Start with the easy one, and try the next level when it feels quick. The four levels use the same grading as the rest of the site, so the daily hard puzzle is as hard as any other hard puzzle here.
| Level | Given numbers | Median | Techniques needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 36–40 | 38 | Naked and hidden singles only |
| Medium | 30–35 | 31 | Singles plus naked or hidden pairs, pointing pairs and box/line reduction |
| Hard | 26–31 | 28 | All of the above plus naked or hidden triples or an X-Wing |
| Expert | 24–28 | 28 | Swordfish or XY-Wing, or longer chains that go beyond the techniques the grader knows |
Given numbers measured on 1000 generated puzzles per level (October 15, 2026). The level comes from which techniques a step-by-step solver needs, not from the count of given numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Is the daily sudoku the same for everyone?
Yes. The puzzle is built from the date in UTC time, so every visitor gets the same four puzzles on the same day. Nothing is downloaded from a server; your browser builds the puzzles from the date.
When does a new daily sudoku come out?
At midnight UTC. That is 01:00 in winter and 02:00 in summer in Central Europe, and the evening of the day before in North and South America. The date picker shows the UTC date.
Can I play earlier daily puzzles?
Yes. The date list goes back 30 days. Choose a date and the four puzzles for that day appear. You can print them, download them or play them on screen, just like today’s.
Can I print the daily sudoku?
Yes. Press Print to get all four puzzles on one page, with the answers on a second page if the answer key is ticked. Download PDF makes the same pages as a file.
Is my daily progress saved?
If you play on screen, your entries are saved in your own browser on this device, so you can come back later. Nothing is sent anywhere. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
