How to print it
- Choose a level and how many puzzles you want on each page.
- Choose the number of pages and A4 or US Letter paper.
- Press Print, or Download PDF to save the puzzles as a file.
- Keep the last page: it holds the answers, marked with each puzzle’s code.

Answer pages hold 12 small solved grids each. In the answers, the given numbers are black and the numbers you had to find are in another color, so you can check where you went wrong.
About the PDF file
The PDF uses the standard Helvetica font that every PDF reader has, and draws the grid as lines rather than pictures. That keeps the file small even with 50 pages. Nothing is uploaded: the whole file is made on your device and saved by your browser.
Print at 100% or "actual size" for the best result. "Fit to page" also works, but makes the grid a little smaller.
Making a booklet
- Pick the level and 4 per page.
- Set the number of pages, for example 8 pages for 32 puzzles.
- Download the PDF and print it double-sided if your printer can.
- Staple the sheets, and keep the answer pages at the back or separately.

Can I download sudoku as a PDF?
Yes. Press Download PDF and the file is saved by your browser. It holds the puzzles you chose and, if the box is ticked, the answers. No account and no email address are needed.
How many sudoku can I put in one PDF?
Up to 50 pages, so up to 300 puzzles at 6 per page. Hard and expert puzzles take longer to make, so a big booklet of those can take a minute or more. The page shows the progress.
Does the PDF include answers?
Yes, when the answer key box is ticked. The answers come after the puzzles, 12 per page, each with the puzzle code. Untick the box if you want to hand out puzzles without answers.
Is the sudoku PDF A4 or Letter?
You choose. A4 is the standard in most of the world, and US Letter is the standard in the United States and Canada. The layout is adjusted to the paper so the grids are not cut off.
Can I print the PDF later or on another device?
Yes. The PDF is a normal file. Save it, email it to yourself or send it to a printer app. The puzzles stay the same, and the codes let you rebuild any of them on this site.
